Fouldes v Willoughby (1841) 151 ER 1153

Facts: The defendant (D) managed a ferry. The plaintiff (Pl) paid his fare and came on with 2 horses. An argument ensued and D took the horses off the ferry and put them ashore. The horses wandered off and were taken by an innkeeper.
