R v Moffatt (2000) 112 A Crim R 201

Facts: Defendant (D) was charged with murder. D and his friend were hanging out, consumed an enormous amount of alcohol and got into a fight. D strangled him and hit him in the head with his hammer. He made admissions to neighbours, and to detectives before ERISP. He made admissions during an ERISP interview.
