TCN Channel Nine v Anning (2002) 54 NSWLR 333

Facts: The Environmental Protection Agency was concerned about offences on Anning’s property. They conducted a raid and the TV camera crew from ‘A Current Affair’ accompanied them to record for their program. Although they left after being asked to leave, they already had cameras rolling and published the footage. Anning was distressed and suffered mental trauma and sued the TV crew for trespass.
