XL Petroleum v Caltex Oil (1985) 155 CLR 448

Facts: XL Petroleum, the plaintiff (Pl), had a service station site and was intending to sell discounted petrol. Caltex, D1, instructs an industrial plumbing company to go to the service station site early in the morning and destroy the petrol storage tanks. Pl commenced an action in trespass.
